Interviewer: You're a feature performer on Kanye West's lastest track and now you find yourself up against him in the category of song of the year at the Grammys. Ah, he kinda has a... like, sort of a reputation for being competitive at awards shows.
Justin: Yeah, yeah.
Interviewer: [Laughing] First of all, if you win do you think he'll let you finish your acceptance speech?
Justin: Yeah yeah, maybe. He will. Ah, it's funny- I just have to defend Kanye for a real quick sec because I really like him and he's been so good to me. He came out to see our show in London and he... he reminds me of a guy I grew up with, y'know? And, uh, the thing that nobody talks about when that whole debacle went down is that he was right. He wasn't... That Beyonce video was the best video of the decade, y'know. But.. so, that being said, that's that.
Interviewer: And he was gonna let Taylor Swift finish!
Justin: But he didn't.
Interviewer: "Imma let you finish"... but yeah.
Justin: He didn't. But you know, that's the thing that he knows was... rude. It was very rude.
Interviewer: You've talked to him about it?
Justin: Yeah- oh yeah, he had to talk about it. He went off to Paris and he was getting coffees for people at Louis Vuitton and stuff he was just like "I'm out of here".
Interviewer: Yeah, but you've talked to him about that episode?
Justin: Yeah, yeah. He was just like "I just... couldn't handle that that wasn't the video of the year".
